SECTION 02CAPABILITIES
What we build
Everything listed here is work this shop has actually done, and most of it is shown in the gallery above. If your project looks like one of these, send it over.
-
Railings and handrails
Wall-mounted handrails, guardrail runs, picket and bar infill, and continuous bent-tube rails with returned ends. Interior and exterior, from corridor ramps to porch landings, in raw, brushed, and painted finishes.
-
Stairs and platforms
Steel exterior stairs with grating treads, elevated landings, and double-pipe handrails, plus stair railing packages for interior work. Stringers, treads, and rails fabricated in the shop and set on site.
-
Gates and doors
Fabricated steel gate and door frames with welded pull handles and fitted lock hardware, built to the opening they have to fill.
-
Floor access hatches
Flush diamond-plate hatches with hinged lids, welded frames set into existing floors, and fixed access ladders with grab bars for pit and below-floor access.
-
Structural and equipment steel
Beams welded into existing structure, equipment stands and bases, brackets, and mounting plates. Fit, welded, and ground in the shop or welded in place on site.
-
One-off and ornamental pieces
Arch frames, sheet-metal work, and custom welded pieces in steel and aluminum. If it starts as tube, bar, plate, or sheet, it is worth a conversation.
-
Mobile welding
Welding that comes to the job. Field welds, anchoring, and on-site work at homes, jobsites, and facilities when the piece cannot come to the shop. Call 412-477-7116 and describe what you have got.
SECTION 03COMMERCIAL AND CONTRACTOR WORK
Built for the bid
General contractors, developers, and building owners: this shop already runs commercial work. The gallery above includes commercial stair and guardrail packages, structural beams welded into existing buildings, and industrial floor hatches, fabricated in the shop and installed on working jobsites.
-
From your drawings
Send construction or engineered drawings and get a real number for the metals scope. Shop drawings for approval before steel is cut, where the job calls for them.
-
Shop plus field
Pieces are fit and welded in the shop, then set, anchored, and welded out on site, including work inside occupied and under-construction buildings.
-
On your clock
Working a bid? Put the deadline in the inquiry and it gets priced with that urgency. One point of contact from takeoff to closeout: 412-477-7116.
Have drawings? Note it in the form and we will tell you where to send them.
SECTION 04PROCESS
How a project flows
This is how projects typically flow; details vary by job.
Inquiry
It starts when you send the basics: what you need, where it goes, and any photos or rough dimensions you already have.
Scope review
We read what you sent and come back with questions until the scope is clear enough to price honestly.
Drawings and site review
Depending on the job, this means field measurements, a site visit, or shop drawings for your approval before any steel is cut.
Estimate
You get a written estimate for the defined scope. If the scope changes, the estimate changes, in writing.
Fabrication
The piece is built in the shop: cut, fit, welded, and checked against the drawings.
Finish
Grinding, cleanup, and the agreed finish before the piece leaves the shop.
Installation
Delivery and install, including on-site welding and anchoring where the job calls for it.
SECTION 05SERVICE AREA
Pittsburgh area
Tamburri Fabrication works in the Pittsburgh area. Pieces are fabricated in the shop and installed on site. If you are not sure whether your location is in range, ask in the inquiry form and you will get a straight answer.
SECTION 06ABOUT
The shop
Tamburri Fabrication is a custom metal fabrication shop serving the Pittsburgh area. The work in the gallery runs from residential railings to commercial stair and guardrail packages to industrial floor hatches, in steel and aluminum. Pieces are fit and welded in the shop, then installed and welded out on site where the job calls for it.
SECTION 07PROJECT INQUIRY
Start your project
Tell us what you need built. A short description, the type of location, and any photos or rough dimensions are enough to start. We will come back with questions, and from there the project follows the process above.
